Megan brings a unique blend of government and private sector experience to spark*advocacy having worked in the House of Commons, Senate of Canada, for a Federal Cabinet Minister, as well as two highly respected public affairs firms.
Most recently she worked for the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and the Minister of International Trade, focusing on parliamentary affairs and issues management. During her time in federal politics she worked on a range of policy files including intellectual property, copyright, natural resources and international trade.
Prior to working in government, Megan was a Consultant at NATIONAL Public Relations, where she led a variety of public affairs and corporate communications projects developing and promoting effective, clear, and consistent narratives to build support for corporate mandates among stakeholders, the media and the public. Megan also brings research and analytics experience from her time at Environics Research. As part of the public affairs team, she worked on complex public opinion research studies on a wide range of subjects including, energy and natural resources, telecommunications, and health care. At spark*, Megan combines her knowledge of politics and strategy with a commitment to using research and carefully crafted narratives to help establish successful marketing strategies and powerful public affairs campaigns.
